My mom, being the Southern Lady she was, asked for the Chef at a famous New Orleans restaurant and in her sweet Southern Charm asked “what IS in this wonderful shrimp sauce”. To which he replied:
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1 Teaspoon – 1 Tablespoon Horseradish (optional to make as spicy or not as you like)
Mix well – and use for shrimp dip, as a dressing for shrimp salad or even for crab legs.
