The loud thud startled me from my peace mid Sunday afternoon. I sit by the window often to quiet my headache and rest. Watching God’s amazing birds is quieting to mind, body and soul. I have come so far from the panic and mis-processing I suffered after my bleeding stroke over six years ago. I knew what had just happened. Within moments I rose from my chair. I took my cane and went out through the lanai and carefully crossed through the grass to below the window.

I hoped it was just startled or knocked out. My heart ached for the little dove. I lifted him in my hand, still warm, and I knew he was lost. I have at least ten doves at my feeders. What was just one dove lost? One mattered, my heart was saddened.
Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they? MATTHEW 6:26 NASB
Are five sparrows not sold for two assaria? And yet not one of them has gone unnoticed in the sight of God. LUKE 12:6 NASB
For days I have thought about that little dove. It flew head on, full speed into a false image. I had looked at the window as it laid on the ground. I could not see what it thought it had. The reflection of the tree perhaps? The continuation of the sky? The scripture says God knew it had fallen, that He knows about our every moment too.
Each moment of today, as we face false horizons and need guidance, God cares. As the images on the man made screens offer false stories, fake horizons, and confusion , we can look to God at any moment. We do not need to fly head on, full speed without direction. We need not fear. God cares, He wants to answer, He is listening.
You need guidance that is true and direct to navigate through the daily world we live in. Mass hysteria, confusion and fear need not overcome us. We need to live in victory not defeat. Fear not for He has overcome the world.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ ISAIAH 41:10 NASB
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” JOHN 16:33 NASB
4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief; 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing; 1 THESSALONIANS 5:4;16-17 NASB
If our focus is on the days events and possibilities, we may be lured into false direction. Take time to look towards our Lord Jesus for clarity and reality. Talk with Him, any time, anywhere.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But, he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. JAMES 1:5-6 NASB
